Malabo, June 27, GNA - President John Dramani Mahama on Friday called for a post-World Cup committee to investigate where the team went wrong at the World Cup tournament in Brazil following their exit at the group stage.
He said although Ghanaians were heartbroken they should still welcome the players as their children and provide pieces of advice that would enable them to form a formidable team in the coming years.
President Mahama, who spoke to journalists at Malabo where he is attending an AU summit, said the investigation would span from preparations to the last match to find out what went wrong.
He said after playing well against Germany, Ghanaians became hopeful that they could go pass the group stage “but that's football as it takes discipline and good training to excel.”
The Black stars have been kicked out of the 2014 World Cup after losing to the US and Portugal, managing a point against Germany.
