Axim (W/R), June 18, GNA - About 400 beneficiaries under the Evalue-Ajomoro Gwira Member of Parliament Vocational and Skills Training Programme, have expressed profound appreciation to their Member of Parliament and Minister of State, Madam Catherine Abelema Afeku for giving them a life time carrier.

The highly elated apprentices expressed the feeling when the MP and officials from the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) paid a courtesy call on them to get first hand information on the various challenges they faced as well as the progress made so far.

Speaking to the beneficiaries at Axim, the MP, Madam Afeku encouraged them to make the best they could out of the special initiative amidst the various life odds that always stare them in the face and urged them to persevere to make their dreams a reality.

The MP promised to broaden the zonal coverage to increase the number of beneficiaries in the Constituency.

The YEA Director in charge of Technical Services, Madam Afua Gyekyewaa reiterated government's effort and commitment to support the beneficiaries to set up their own businesses after completion of their training-apprenticeship by providing them with well furnished shops.

She commended the MP for such an initiative and admonished the Constituents to continue to have absolute faith in her and accord her the maximum support.

It would be recalled that on March 06, 2019, Madam Afeku presented more than 200 sewing machines and other materials to beneficiaries of the special initiative and the number has since increased to 400.
