Accra, March 1, GNA - The Women In Sports Association (WISA) - Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), has congratulated coach Mercy Tagoe- Quarcoo for winning the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Women’s Football Zone B Cup, held in Cote D’Ivoire recently.
Madam Gloria Commodore, co-founder of WISA and a director, in a press statement said, the achievements of Mercy Tagoe- Quarcoo, needs to be appreciated and applauded.
“She has done very well for women in sports, especially the footballers, and she deserves to be honoured” she said.
She noted that Mercy Tagoe- Quarcoo is an example of good leadership and she should be maintained and used for the upcoming African Women’s Championship to be hosted in Ghana.
The Black Queen went to the neighbouring Cote D’ Voire and brought home the trophy after beating powerhouse Nigeria at the Semi Finals and the host nation at the Grand Final.
