Accra, Aug. 31, GNA – Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has announced the appointment of Muheeb Saeed as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Club effective September 1, 2012.
Saeed, who turns 37 in November, takes over from Albert Commey, who parted ways with the Club during the second half of the just ended football season.
Togbe Afede XIV, Chairman of the Club confirmed the appointment of the Kumasi-based media practitioner during the Club's Annual General Meeting (AGM) last Tuesday in Accra, where he introduced the PRO to the gathering.
Saeed told GNA Sports he is excited at the challenge and is looking forward to playing a key role in transforming the communications department of the oldest existing football Club in the country.
The new PRO who is relatively unknown in football circles is however a dyed-in-the-wool Phobian and is a member of the popular supporters arm in the Ashanti Region, ‘Chapter 9’.
A graduate of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, he has also had stints with the Editorial sections of Ash FM (Kumasi) and Skyy Power FM (Takoradi).
Saeed is currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) in French at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
