Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited, has sent a congratulatory message to
Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi on his election onto the Executive Council of the
Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).
In a closely-contested elections held in Cairo, Egypt on Thursday, to elect two new African representatives to FIFA Council, the President of Ghana Football Association sailed through, with 31 votes ahead of his closest contestant Ahmad from Madagasca.
In a press release signed by Mr. Kwame Opare Addo, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Hearts, it said “The management of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Limited wishes to congratulate Kwesi Nyantakyi for emerging victorious during the CAF/FIFA elections which ensured your elevation onto the FIFA Council.
“Your victory is victory for Ghana sports and the Hearts of Oak family wishes you the best of luck as a FIFA Council member and in all your future endeavours as GFA President.”
Nyantakyi polled 31 votes to sail through successfully along with Guinean Almamy Kabele, who polled 37 votes.
