Accra, Sept. 5, GNA - The Federation of
International Football Association (FIFA), has extended the ban imposed on Mr.
Kwasi Nyantakyi, former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
A statement from the Ethics Committee of FIFA said, the committee has extended the provisional ban to 45 more days.
It said, the extension of the ban would commence on Thursday, September 6, during which he would remained banned from all football related activities.
The statement said, the decision was taken at the request of the investigatory chamber of the Ethics Committee carrying out formal investigation on Mr. Nyantakyi, pursuant to article 85 part one, of the FIFA Code of Ethics.
Mr. Nyantakyi, was handed a 90 day ban by FIFA following the famous Anas Expose, which was aired on June 6, 2018.
The 90-day ban was expected to expire this week but FIFA, has extended it to cover another 45 days awaiting the outcome of the investigations.
