company, has donated footballs, trophies, bags and jerseys to support the 2017
Private Schools Football gala.
The Private Schools football gala played yesterday at the Lizzy Sports Complex in Accra drew participation from 12 private schools including Christ the King, Grace Preparatory School, Al-Rayaan, East Airport International.
The gala was played in two categories; the U16 and the U 12.
Grace Preparatory School came atop after thrashing Al-Rayaan 5-0 in the U16 final match whilst East Airport won 3-1 on penalties against Christ the King to lift the title.
At the end of the competition, the MVP, best goal keeper, discovery of the tourney, and the highest goal scorer were all awarded with trophies, bags, footballs and pillows from Latex Foam for their splendid performance both in the U16 and U 12 category.
The CEO of Decathlon Ghana, Kwesi Tabury said that, his outfit sought to make sports accessible to everybody hence the support.
"As one of the leading sportswear in the world, we have the obligation to help people do sports. We are here to be the only partner for all sports events in Accra. We all know that, sports is good for health, pleasure, and good living". He stressed
He commended the winners for the good display.
The event was held to unearth and develop talents.
