Obuasi (Ash), Feb 28, GNA - Obuasi Ashgold SC advanced to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup on a 2-0 aggregate when they earned a 1-0 win over Sewe Sports of Cote D\'Ivoire in their second leg encounter at the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi on Sunday.

In the 63rd minute, the woodwork denied Ashgold the second goal when Aminu\'s 20-metre low drive hit the post and rebounded into play.

The Ivorians also brought on Baligoe Jacoubes and Iakpe Bahui for Davis Donalds and Bilate Sulemani and nearly cancelled the lead two minutes into injury time.
Mahan Mark who intercepted a through pass near the vital area, however, wasted the glorious chance that came his way.
