Amsterdam, Nov. 09, (GNA/dpa) - Dick Advocaat
has left open his future as Netherlands coach after reportedly saying he would
step down when his contract expires following friendly matches against Scotland
The 70-year-old coach told Dutch reporters in Aberdeen ahead of Thursday's game against Scotland he would make an announcement on Tuesday after his team plays Romania.
Advocaat's contract runs to December 1 and on his arrival in Scotland he had been quoted as saying the next two matches would be the last of his third spell with Oranje.
Advocaat has now said he would decide after the match against Romania on whether he would make himself available for a further period as national team coach.
The Netherlands missed out on qualifying for the 2018 World Cup, with Advocaat taking on the job in May to succeed the luckless Danny Blind.
