Accra, July 11, GNA - Mr Hay Yartey, Chief Executive Officer of Kasoa based, Division Two side, Cheetah FC has said, they are noted for producing quality players, hence the regular call ups of their players into the junior national teams.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) license B holder, said in an interview with the GNA Sports, that his eye for quality players and ability to scout the length and breathe of the country for quality players, has been the club’s major achievement.
“I love football, so I invest a lot of time into it. I travel to very remote parts of the country to scout for young talents who can fit into my club’s philosophy.
“At Cheetah FC, we have a philosophy to produce quality and exceptional players, young lads who are very disciplined and ready to listen and work hard.
“I give these boys the best of man-management, so it’s just a reward that constantly some players from my club get call ups to the junior national teams” he added.
According to Mr Yartey, he believes and hope that his three players who have been called up for the national U-17 camp would excel and make Ghana proud.
“I have hope and belief in the technical handlers of the junior teams. I am sure the training and treatment, would propel them to greater heights.
“Looking at the criteria, the technical team used in selecting players for the team, I can confidently say that my boys would always make me and the entire Cheetah FC family proud.
The National U-17 is currently based in camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence at Prampram with Cheetah FC’s Ebenezer Adade, Emmanuel Bio and Christian Boateng gearing up for the upcoming WAFU Zone B championship to be hosted by Ghana.
