Koforidua, April 22, GNA - The Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church, Right Reverend Felix Annancy has called on the political elite in the country to design strategies and policies that will make Ghana a happier and better place to live in.
He regretted that despite the large resources of the country, many Ghanaians were living in a state of want and extreme poverty.
This was contained in the Easter message of Bishop Annancy at the St Peter’s Cathedral at Koforidua on Easter Sunday.
He called on Ghanaians to take advantage of the occasion to help stop the killings on the road and be more disciplines and show respect for the elderly.
Bishop Annancy called on the government to come out with an effective strategies backed with aggressive public education to get more people into the tax net to mobilize the required revenue for the development of the country.
Bishop Annancy expressed his appreciation to the government for efforts to create employment for the youth and congratulated the Asantehene for the 20th anniversary of his enthronement.
At the Koforidua Wesley Cathedral, The Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Methodist Church, Right Reverend Emmanuel Asare-Kussi told the congregation that, the resurrection of Jesus Christ was a confirmation that there was life after death and on the second coming of Jesus Christ , the death shall rise as being proclaimed in the Bible.
