Nyoglo (N/R), July 30, GNA – Air Wives Organisation-wives of soldiers of Air Force Base in Tamale with support from World Vision Ghana has provided a borehole for the Nyoglo community, near Tamale, to address water challenges facing residents.
Residents of the community sometimes face water challenges and walk about three kilometers to the barracks in Tamale to fetch water, a situation which informed the Organisation’s decision to provide the borehole.
Group Captain Nana Adu-Gyamfi, Deputy Commander of the Air Force Base in Tamale, who spoke during the inauguration of the borehole urged residents to take good care of the facility to address their water needs.
Mrs Hagar Yeboah, Leader the Association expressed the hope that the facility would help to address the challenges women and children face travelling long distances in search of water.
Naa Imoro Abukari, Chief of Nyoglo expressed gratitude to Air Wives Organisation and World Vision Ghana for providing the community with the borehole.
