Accra, Jan. 20, GNA -
The Ghana Community Network Services Limited
(GCNet) has held its annual thanksgiving service at the Head-Office in Accra to express gratitude to God for His bountiful blessings on the company within the past year.
Clad in white attires the staff prayed and danced to show appreciation to God for how far He has sustained and protected them in 2018.
Mr Emmanuel Darko, the Deputy General Manager of GCNet, said the thanksgiving service was an opportunity to express gratitude to God for His blessings.
He said although 2018 was quite challenging, GCNet did its best to support the Government’s revenue mobilisation agenda to realise targets.
“We did our best in 2018. It was quite challenging operationally but we tried to support the Government’s revenue mobilisation target,” he said.
Mr Darko said GCNet would introduce, in March, a new trade facilitation tool to address gaps in identified areas of revenue mobilisation.
It would also engage with policy makers, transit traders and other stakeholders by getting them to know the functionality of the systems that GCNet had deployed.
“GCNet commits itself to supporting government revenue mobilisation agenda and to ensuring that revenue is enhanced,” he said.
“It is also to support government’s ability to introduce new measures to boost revenue, generate employment and contribute significantly to economic growth.”
Reverend Daniel Asiedu, who preached the sermon, entreated individuals and corporate bodies to acknowledge God in every aspect of their lives.
He said the best for GCNet was yet to come as the staff continued to acknowledge God for His mercies, goodness and lordship over the earth.
Intercessory prayers were said for government and GCNet officials and the company as a whole.
