with alcoholic beverages to support them to improve and expand their
They said the same companies are able to sponsor events such as; sports, festivals among others and yet leave the bar operators who were marketing their products.
They made the appeal at a-day’s sensitisation workshop organised by the Kasaperko Company Limited to launch the company’s Soloku Bitters at Winneba.
Over 300 members of the Ghana Bar Operators (GABOA) and National Drinking Bar Operators Association (NADBOA) attended the programme from Awutu East and West, Agona Swedru and Effutu Constituencies.
The participants appealed for sponsorships that would enable them to survive in the competitive business, rather than depending loans with high interest rates.
Mr Tsatsu Hadjor Media Officer of Kasaperko Company Limited who launched the product, said the workshop was to educate the bar operators on the need to conduct their business in accordance with the Narcotic and Standard Board Regulation.
He said the Soloku Bitters is a new product the company had introduced and appealed to Drinking Bar Operators to join the association in order to benefit from training and workshops on marketing, book keeping, management, savings and environmental hygiene.
Mr Peterson Biney, Territory Development Officer in charge of Central Region took the participants through power point presentation on the new brand and effects of intake of alcoholic beverages, and management of their facilities.
He said the Soloku Bitters, which is made from natural herbs, has been scientifically tested for its functionality and is concentrated with 35 percent alcohol and strictly not for sale to persons under 18 and pregnant women.
