Accra, Jan 1, GNA - Reverend Fr Pascal Ankamah, Parish Priest of the St Alphonse Catholic Church of Ga Odumase, a suburb of Accra has cautioned the youth against rushing to acquire material things as that could crash their dreams.
"You need to exercise patience in whatever you do because If you rush you will crash”, he added
He stated that God in his own wisdom had arranged the destinies of every humanbeing and as humans there was the need for gradualism, which all must pursue and exhibit high level patience to achieve goals and objectives.
“Wait upon the Lord, and you will receive good things from God.”
Christians throughout the country on December 31 held watch night church services to usher in the New Year with prayers for peace and God's guidance for the nation.
The Watch night also gave the Christians the opportunity to make new resolutions and reconcile with their Creator and create opportunities for succeeding years.
Reverend Fr Ankamah said the same God who took care of them last year would again take care of them this year and asked them to rejuvenate their interest in humanity and growth by forgiving and undertaking activities that would enhance human development.
He urged them to reciprocate God’s mercies he granted over the years by forgiving their trespassers and opponents that had hit them heavily and negatively in live.
“We should have faith in God that whatever we ask of Him this year, he will do it for us now if we follow him and his regulations" He said.
Reverend Fr Ankamah urged all Christians to change from their evil deeds as they enter into the New Year adding that the Lord was watching over the righteous and would listen to their cries if they were faithful to God.
