Accra, April 30, GNA - The Financial Court hearing the case of Alfred Agbesi Woyome, a businessman, has ordered him to open his defence in the 51.2 million cedi judgement debt payment case.
The lawyers argued in their submission that, the prosecution throughout the trial, failed to establish any of the charges brought against the accused.
Justice John Ajet-Nassam, the trial judge, giving his ruling on the matter dismissed the application for submission of no case, and ordered the accused person to open his defence on Tuesday, May 6.
Woyome is standing trial for defrauding by false pretenses, and causingfinancial loss to the State.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and is on a 20 million cedi bail with three sureties to be justified.
