Accra, June 29, GNA - The Ghana Centre for
Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) says it is deeply saddened by the news of
the loss of former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, on Friday 29th
“We join the people of Ghana to mourn the loss of a dignified gentleman for his great commitment to public service,” the CDD-Ghana said in a statement.
The statement said, he was recognized as an accomplished public servant, who rose through the ranks to become the Governor of the Bank of Ghana and subsequently the Vice President.
“We will continue to remember and honour his collaborative, democracy-loving and highly respected statesmanship,” it said.
“Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the family, members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the entire nation. Our heartfelt condolences to all,” the statement added.
