Japan's Crown Prince Naruhito arrives in Ghana

Accra, March 8, GNA - Prince Naruhito, Crown Prince of Japan on Sunday arrived in Ghana to begin a three-day official visit to the Country.

 

The Prince who was met on arrival by Vice President John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Benjamin Kunbuor, Minister of Health and other government officials, would during his stay in the country visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park where he would plant trees and lay a wreath at the park.

 

He would also call on President John Evans Atta Mills and visit Mary Star of the Sea International School at Kasoa.

 

According to the Programme released by the Government of Ghana, the Crown Prince would visit the Noguchi Laboratory at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, meet Japanese citizens resident in Ghana, as well as students who have benefited from Japanese scholarships.

 

On Tuesday, he would be a special guest at the first Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize Memorial Symposium at La Palm Royal Beach in Accra.

 

He would also visit Akosombo and hold bilateral discussions with President Mills and Vice President Mahama on development issues in Ghana.
