Euroget Group appoints Barbisotti &Sons
Accra, March 1, GNA - Euroget De-Invest s.a, of Egypt on Friday entered into a contract with the Ministry of Defence of Ghana to undertake a turn-key project for a 500 bed Military Hospital in Kumasi.
The 180 million dollar project would include; designing, engineering and specification phase, which has been completed, while the second stage, would involve the complete construction of electro-Mechanical external work and public health service and staff housing.
The third stage of the project would include; the provision of medical and non-medical equipment which is currently under procurement, installation, training and maintenance.
Mr Mark Owen Woyongo, Minister of Defence, at the signing ceremony, said government would treat the contract with special attention considering the fact that it would serve the demands of both the military in particular and government in general.
He said the sod-cutting on the Afarilands in Kumasi would be done on March 20, 2014 and would be expected to be completed within 42 months.
śI wish the contractors move to site to commence work immediately because we want the project completed ahead of schedule, since there is no problem with payment, we don™t envisage any delayť, he said.
The Minister indicated that the Military Hospital in Kumasi, when completed, would be of immense help to military personnel within the Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions.
According to him, the 500 bed Military Hospital would enhance access to affordable and quality healthcare for the military and civilian community in the country and neighbouring countries.

Dr Said Deraz, Chief Executive Officer for Euroget De-Invest said his outfit was committed to keeping its promise and will deliver the project on schedule.
