Cadres observe 31st December Revolution at Koforidua

Koforidua, Dec. 31, GNA - The New Juaben Municipal branch of the United Cadres Front, has reminded all members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) yet to be appointed to political offices not to lose sight of the social democratic background and to work towards improving the lives of all Ghanaians.

The Front maintained that, it was important for the NDC to always work towards distancing itself from the property owning orientation and to seek to work for the benefit of all in the society.

This was contained in a statement read by Mr Kwabena Okyere Kusi, a Senior Cadre after a two hours physical exercise at the Koforidua Jackson™s Park to mark the celebration of the 31st Anniversary of the December 31st Revolution in the Koforidua Municipality on Monday .

The Front appealed to former President Jerry John Rawlings to be circumspect in the criticism of the leadership of the NDC when it goes wrong and resort to the internal mechanisms of the party for the resolution of disputes rather than using the media to express such positions.

The Front commended former President Rawlings for sustaining the spirit of the 31st December Revolution till today and saluted all living and falling heroes of the revolution and their families for their sacrifices which ultimately ushered Ghana into the current economic growth and democratic dispensation.

The Front congratulated  President John Dramani Mahama, the Members of Parliament, the party executives and all members of the NDC for working hard to ensure the victory of the party within the limited time available for their campaign.

It called on all cadres of the 31st December Revolution to be more active and to work with the structures of the NDC at every level to serve the people of Ghana.
