Bantama MP rewards 31 hardworking teachers

Kumasi, Nov 30, GNA “ Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama, has presented an incentive package to 31 hardworking teachers in her constituency.


They were selected from both basic and senior high schools (SHS) and received rice cookers and stoves.


The goal, she said, was to motivate them to continue to work with zeal and passion to improve on the performance of school children in the area.


Madam Dapaah paid tribute to teachers for the sacrifices and immense contribution to the development of the nation™s education.


She used the occasion to remind them about the need to assist educate their communities to ensure peace in the December 7 elections.


She said they should discourage the people from any irresponsible conduct that could endanger the nation™s peace and security.


Mrs Naana Gaisie Abudu, Kumasi Metropolitan Director of Education, praised the MP for recognizing the teachers.


This, she said, was something that would inspire them to give off their best.


Mr Kwesi Esson Nunoo, Officer-in-Charge of the Bantama sub-Metropolitan Education Office, said they would do everything to enhance the academic performance of the schools.
