London, April 29, (GNA/dpa) - Aston Villa say
Gabriel Agbonlahor has asked to step down as captain of the relegated Premier
The 29-year-old had been suspended by the club for his attitude but will be available for their remaining three matches.
"The player has received a substantial fine and been reminded of his responsibilities as a professional footballer at Aston Villa," the club said in a statement.
"His suspension is now lifted and he will be available for selection from Monday."
Villa have already been relegated from the Premier League, with just 16 points from 35 games.
