Asesewa (E/R), Mar 05, GNA – Delegates’ to the Upper Manya-Krobo constituency delegates conference of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have retained the incumbent chairman, Moses Tetteh, popularly called ‘Arizona’, by his admirers.
He polled 466 votes to beat his only other challenger, Joe Sam Nanor-Teye, who had 94 votes.
George Smart Gbli won the first Vice Chairman position, garnering 311 votes, as against 253 votes by Mamphey Philip Kwaku.
The other elected officers were Henry Allan Ayernor, second Vice Chairman, Samuel Odeneho Akor, Secretary, Emmanuel Kwame Martey, Organizer, Mariama Issifu, Women’s Organizer, Eric Madjitey, Assistant Secretary, Emmanuel Tettey Sawer, Treasurer, Nuru Iddrisu Balanka, Nasara Coordinator, and Michael Kwadwo Ogbordjor, Youth Organizer.
Mr. Tetteh thanked the delegates for the peaceful and successful conference and pledged to work with everybody to make the party more vibrant and attractive to voters.
He asked that they united their effort to retain the parliamentary seat they won in the 2016 elections, the first time in 24 years.
