Accra, Jan. 31, GNA - The
Appointments Committee of Parliament on Tuesday, January 31, is expected to vet
three Ministerial nominees, on their competencies in their areas and beyond.
The nominees are; Mr John Peter Amewu, Ministerial nominee for Lands and Natural Resources; Mr Ignatius Baffour Awuah, the nominee for Employment and Labour Relations and Mr Atta Akyea, the nominee for Works and Housing.
The 26-Member Committee is chaired by Mr Joseph Osei-Owusu, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had already sworn in the nominees approved by the Committee and urged them to speed up the vetting process of the remaining ministerial nominees.
The Committee started grilling the ministerial nominees from Friday, January 20, 2017,
and had so far vetted 16 out of the 36 nominees appointed by the President.
