In a message of condolence to the churches and people of Ghana, the AACC described the late President as one of the outstanding sons of Africa who gave his life to the true meaning of democracy and peace on the continent.
The message signed by the Reverend Dr Andre Karamaga, AACC General Secretary, said the late President was not only a symbol of peace but a defender of democracy in Ghana, West Africa and across the continent.
“This saw him easily congratulate his political opponents when they emerged victorious in elections before he got elected into office. Friends and foes alike revered him as incorruptible and as a man of integrity.”
The AACC said the late President Mills fought a good fight for his country and Africa and had finished his race.
