Charles Appiah 19, student of the Tweneboa Kodua Senior High School in Kumawu, appeared before the Kumawu Circuit Court in the Sekyere Kumawu District, charged with possessing a criminal implement and assault.
He pleaded guilty to both charges but denied stealing and would reappear on June 3, for sentencing.
Prosecuting Police Inspector Paul Kludze, told the court that the incident happened on May 22, when Appiah wielding a cutlass hidden in a black bag and a face mask removed the House Three dormitory entrance bulb.
A calculator got missing and Mr Francis Asumadu, the House Master who became suspicious of Appiah, searched the accused and the items together with the calculator and bulb was found him.
The court presided over by Mr Benjamin Osei was told that the accused was arrested following a report made to the Kumawu Police.
Appiah in his caution statement mentioned one Ampadu, now at large as the owner of the bulb found on him.
The prosecution said, the accused was charged after thorough investigation.
