Juaben (Ash), May 31, GNA - A 20-year old labourer has been jailed for four years by the Juaben Circuit Court for stealing electric wires valued at GH¢95.00 belonging to his employers.
Ebenezer Wugan was convicted on his own guilty plea.
Police Chief Inspector Danso Abeam told the court presided over by Mr Justice Alex Obeng Asante that the convict works with Rexfas Company Limited, building contractors.
The company has been awarded the job of a primary school classroom project at Akokwamon in the Ejisu-Juaben municipality.
On May 10, Wugan sneaked to the warehouse of the contractors and stole two coils of electric wires.
The prosecution said Wugan was however spotted by some of his co-workers who arrested and handed him over to the police.
He confessed to the crime in his caution statement to the police.
