Kofi Nyamekye alias Kofi Network, pleaded guilty to the charges and the court presided over by Mr Alexandra Oworae sentenced him accordingly.
Prosecution Police Inspector Peter Agbelie told the court that, Nana Kwame Yeboah a Mason based in Winneba is the complainant, while Nyamekye the convict is a farmer and a native of Winneba.
The prosecution said on July 8, the complainant had masonry works to do and so asked the convict to assist him to undertake the job as a labourer and therefore took him to his place of abode.
Inspect Agbelie said Nyamekye with one Kojo and Shorties at large, sneaked into the complaint’s house, forced his door opened and made away with one Samsung 37 inches television set, Samsung DVD player, a standing fan, a sound system, mobile phone charger and GH₵ 220.00.
He said a wittiness in the case spotted Nyamekye when he his accomplices were leaving with the booty.
He said the complainant returned to the house at about 2030 hours to find his door ajar and his property stolen.
Chief Inspector Agbelie said the complaint reported the matter to the police and Nyamekye was arrested.
He said on July 21 an identification parade was held and Nyamekye was identified by the witness in the case and during investigation he mentioned Kojo and one Shortie as his accomplices.
