He said the facility had put in place measures to guard against untimely deaths as a result of the strike being embarked on by the Ghana Medical Association.
śMeasures have been put in place by management to avert needless deaths,ť Dr Abebrese told newsmen in Sunyani on Tuesday.
The newsmen were at the hospital to ascertain the impact of the strike on patients.
He explained that though the doctors™ strike continued unabated, there was no cause for alarm as the management had negotiated with some doctors who had volunteered to attend to emergencies.
Some of these emergency cases include women in labour and doctors are always on standby at the maternity ward, Dr Abebrese said .
At the hospital, patients were seen hanging around while some few nurses were attending to some of them.
