Accra, Feb. 16, GNA - Labone Leadership Experience Opportunity (LEO) Club of Accra, a service club, over the weekend donated various items to support the Princess Marie Louise Children’s Hospital as they celebrate their 25th anniversary.
The items donated include digital baby scales, biscuit, cartons of mineral water and fruit drinks, toilet rolls amongst others.
These were received by Madam Doris Antwi, the Principal Nursing Officer and Maame Akua Andzle, a Senior Nursing Officer of the faculty.
Leo Rita Esinam Garglo, the President of Labone LEO Club of Accra, said besides annual activities, they also visit the hospital on valentine Days to share love with the children and donate items.
She said the club seeks to provide opportunities to the youth to experience leadership roles as they serve their communities.
Miss Garglo said LEO as the biggest humanitarian club in the world has 10 branches in Ghana, which includes Gye Nyame in Accra, Labone, Legon, Akomapa in Central University amongst others.
She said as part of their tradition every February, for the past ten year, they have made various donations to the hospital.
Miss Garglo said they undertake several activities in the community but the emphasis is place on the children’s hospital as it is their adopted hospital.
