April 17, GNA - A total of 16 babies were delivered at the Half-Assini
Government Hospital during Easter.
The babies made up of nine males and seven females were delivered between Friday and Sunday.
Mrs Justina Appiah the Midwife in charge of the Maternity Unit, told the Ghana News Agency that five of the babies were delivered on Friday with six deliveries recorded on Saturday and five on Sunday.
She said two mothers delivered through caesarean section while the rest had normal deliveries.
The Midwife said the babies weighed between 1.7 and 4.4 kilogrammes and were all in good health except one.
Mrs Appiah said apart from the mother whose baby is not in good health, those who delivered on Friday and Saturday have since been discharged.
Ms Lucy Nyameke, 28, a teacher at Christ the King Preparatory School, who delivered on Sunday morning, expressed her delight to the GNA on her safe delivery on Easter Sunday.
