Atsaklorbor (VR), Mar. 13, GNA - Mr. Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ketu South has handed over a two-unit kindergarten block to Atsaklorbor, a suburb of Klikor, in the Ketu South Municipality.
The GH¢109,000.00 facility was financed from the MP's GET-Fund allocation and has an office and a store.
Mr. Kwetey at the handing over ceremony urged parents to guide their children to achieve greater laurels through education than what they the parents had achieved.
He encouraged the pupils to look beyond all limitations around them and study hard to become responsible adults and asked them not to make basic education their limit.
Mr. Michael Yao Atsuiatorfe, Ketu South Municipal Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES), commended the MP for the kindergarten block and said it would improve teaching and learning at that critical level in the life of children.
He lauded the MP for his commitment to the educational sector and expressed gratitude for an amount of GH¢90,000.00, which he said the MP donated to the Directorate to address sewerage challenges.
The Director also thanked the MP for donating a computer, a printer and photocopier to the district education directorate.
Mr. Atsuiatorfe prayed for vehicle to enhance supervision and monitoring activities, saying, the only vehicle was about 20 years old and outlived its usefulness.
Togbi Addo III, Paramount Chief of Klikor, also commended Mr Kwetey for the project and efforts at ensuring that Klikor and its environs had potable water.
