Ho, March 8, GNA - Southern Command of the Ghana Armed Forces Thursday presented GH¢4,500.00 to the Alavanyo-Kpenoe United Roman Catholic Junior High School in the Hohoe District for the purchase of furniture.
Major Edward Sarpong-Appiah, Commander 66 Artillery Regiment, said the donation was in response to a request made through the Unit by the school.
He said the Military High Command in Accra responded to the request to foster civil-military relationship and to enhance operations of the Command in the Alavanyo area.
Mr Samuel Amlado, Headteacher of the School, expressed gratitude to the Ghana Army and promised to use the cash for its intended purpose.
He called for further support to rebuild a section of the school which collapsed some months ago.
A similar presentation was made to Nkonya-Tayi District Assembly Junior High School, months ago.
