A statement issued by Mantrac Ghana Limited and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the Technicians for Africa Project is an absolutely free online programme for Africans seeking a new and exciting career as service technicians.
It said it was fully sponsored by Caterpillar, the global leader in construction and mining equipment, in collaboration with its dealers across Africa.
The statement said in Ghana the programme was launched in November 2016 and currently has about 939 students enrolled in the programme with the second set of 42 certified students ready to begin an exciting journey as Service Technicians.
It said Ghana could boast of having 146 active users on the programme as at the end of September 2017, the highest number in Africa after Nigeria.
‘’In just three-six months you can achieve Foundational Certification and begin an exciting journey towards a possible career as a well-paid and highly valued service technician in the automotive, trucking or heavy equipment industry.
‘’It is an opportunity for Technicians who wish to work with Mantrac Ghana to go through this process making them possible choice once there are vacancies.’’, the statement said.
