Mrs Otema Yirenkyi, Country Manager, Microsoft Ghana said her outfit is committed to drive technology in Ghana with the latest applications for easy business and communication.
Mrs Yirenkyi said the office 365 comes with the latest version of all office applications for download onto the personal computer, optimised applications for tablets and smart phones and web applications have been improved for rich experience and updated editing functionality.
She said the new product offers the broadcast definition of productivity and collaboration for big business tools at affordable prices, adding that no hardware investment is required since users can get the latest enterprise tools.
Mrs Yirenkyi said the office 365 helps conduct effective meeting by hosting of multi-party HD video conferences through Lync, share screen and collaborate with real-time note taking.
Mr Pratik Roy, Sales Manager for Public Cloud for Microsoft West, East and Central Africa said the office 365 makes the end user more productive both at work and home, since the user can continue working offline.
He said cloud technologies are fast becoming part of everyday life that is why Microsoft office 365 makes sense for the African market, adding that office 365 Home Premium is a cloud service designed for busy households and people with family responsibilities.
Mr Roy said Microsoft has made a number of products available in countries across West, East, Central African and Indian Ocean Islands with each of the suites targeted at specific audiences such as enterprise, small and medium business, educational institutions and non-profit organisations.
He said office 365 comes with four different platforms namely Microsoft office, E-mail message, collaboration platform and communication platform.
Mr Roy said it allows users to access their content anywhere with security assured.
