Six people pick nomination forms to contest Nkawkaw NPP primary

Nkawkaw, Sept. 13 GNA - Six people including two women on Thursday picked nomination forms to contest the Nkawkaw constituency parliamentary primary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to be held on September 22.
The six are Mr Kwabena Adusa Okercheri, former Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Mr Eric Kwakye Darfur, a businessman, Mr Yaw Owusu Addo, Director of Radio of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Mr Seth Adjei Baah, the incumbent MP, Ms Joyce Opoku Boateng and Ms Vida Agyekum, both legal practitioners.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview, the constituency secretary of the party, Mr Amoako Mensah, said the aspiring candidates had already filed their nominations.
They would appear before the Eastern Regional vetting committee later.
Mr Mensah appealed to all the aspirants to educate their supporters to ensure peaceful campaign towards the primary.
