Accra , Nov 10, GNA - Fidelity Bank Reach for Gold promotion has given away another set of Ghana\'s precious gold coins worth GH¢ 6,000 for the first three winners of the second monthly draw held at its A&C Shopping Mall Branch in Accra on Thursday.
Evans Agyei Marfo of the Kumasi Stadium branch of Fidelity Bank won the first prize of GH¢ 3,000 worth of gold coin, which was drawn by Marcel Desailly, a former French national football captain, now a Ghanaian entrepreneur.
The second and third prizes of Gold coins worth GH¢ 2,000 and GH¢ 1,000 went to Mohammed Osmanu of the Takoradi branch of the bank and Yaw Baah of the Spintex branch in Accra respectively.
The fourth to the 10th prize winners received assorted Fidelity souvenirs.
The Reach for Gold campaign has been designed by Fidelity Bank, a wholly owned Ghanaian bank, to encourage individuals to cultivate the culture of savings for tomorrow.
Deputy Managing Director of the bank, Mr Jim Baiden said: “As an indigenous Ghanaian bank, we believe that a strong society can be built in future when we begin to take little steps today that will result in big achievements some day. One of these little steps is that of saving and investment.”
“Reach for Gold campaign is therefore all about challenging lives and helping you to cultivate one habit that you would never want to break – that of saving for the future. Your savings habit when nurtured will offer you and your family a secured future,” he said.
The grand draw to be held in March 2012, will see the overall winner walking away with the ultimate prize of 24-carat 1kilogramme gold bar, valued today at about GH¢ 120,000.
Mr Desailly described Fidelity as a dynamic and active bank in the business world and urged Ghanaians to save with the bank to encourage local entrepreneurs.
The Member of Parliament for Adentan, Mr Kojo Adu Asare, also stressed the need for people cultivate savings habit, noting “Life is all about savings.”
